Games That Interested Me During Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2025

A lot of good games coming out soon

Did I totally forget this was happening? Yep. Am I a bit late with this? Yep, but hey this is my website so I can do whatever. I checked out the recent Future Games Show and there were more games that interested me than I thought. Of course, I do recommend watching it for yourself, as my taste is not everyone’s taste, and I’ll have it linked as always.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Lead the members of Expedition 33 on their quest to destroy the Paintress so that she can never paint death again. Explore a world of wonders inspired by Belle Époque France and battle unique enemies in this turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics.

I am so excited for this game. I’m trying to not have high expectations, but I hope that I end up enjoying it. This is set to release on April 24.

Animal Use Protocol

In this first-person, narrative-focused survival horror, you play as Penn, a hyper-intelligent chimpanzee. Hunted at every turn, your only chance of survival lies in scavenging, crafting, and exploring Anchorage Station. An epic story awaits. Be quick and quiet. Time is running out…

Nitrogen Omega

A Spaghetti Anime turn-based tactical RPG where you lead a crew of mercenaries through wastelands overrun by ruthless machines. Engage in high-octane cinematic Mech battles, recruit pilots and grow relationships. Play solo or join an online world where every character is procedurally generated.

I’d like to see some more gameplay, but I’m digging the art direction and animations.

I Hate This Place

I Hate This Place is an isometric open world survival horror set in an eerie, unpredictable world that’s twisted beyond comprehension. Playing as Elena, you awaken forces that threaten to shatter everything you knew about reality.

This looks so good!

South of Midnight

South of Midnight is a new action-adventure from Compulsion Games. Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and unravel your family’s hidden past.

Another game I’ve been looking forward to for a while now! There are some points where the animation looks a bit bad during cutscenes, looking more like lag rather than the style they were going for, but the actual gameplay looks really good. Also looking forward to experiencing the song progression that they were talking about during this trailer. It does sound like it has the potential of being annoying, depending on how it’s implemented, but finally hearing the full song during bosses sounds like it’s going to be so cool and gives a bit more of an epic feel to the bosses/final encounters. We’ll be able to dive in on April 8.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days

Texas, 1980. Walton City has fallen to a zombie outbreak. Lead a band of desperate survivors from refuge to refuge by scavenging, crafting, and fighting in a relentless struggle for survival. Plan wisely, stick together, and — above all — keep moving if you want to make it out alive.

Fingers crossed that this is coming to consoles once it’s out of early access. This will release in early access on April 9.

Locomoto

Locomoto is a cosy, life-sim adventure game set on a train, where you are the conductor! Customise and manage your train, while tending to your colourful passengers. Get onboard and embark on a journey through beautiful landscapes, accompanied by a soft, lofi original soundtrack.

This is coming out April 8.

Eclipsium

A trippy and retro-inspired horror game that will take you on a journey through surreal lands. Delve deeper and deeper into the unorthodox. Lose track of your sense of space and time in this immersive and non-euclidean experience. See what’s waiting for you beyond the tower.

Artis Impact

A fun turn-based RPG set in a future world of humans and AI. Play as Akane to explore vibrant locations, battle with simple yet fluid combat, and enjoy side quests full of charming surprises. With a playful, humorous style and clever details, this adventure is light, easy, and full of smiles.

Reanimal

The creators of Little Nightmares™ I & II have returned to take you on a darker, more terrifying journey than ever before. In this horror adventure game, a brother & sister go through hell to rescue their missing friends and escape the island that they used to call home.

Cronos: The New Dawn

Cronos: The New Dawn is a pulse-pounding, third-person survival horror game that throws you into the heart of a deadly struggle against overwhelming foes, all while uncovering the mysteries of a twisted time travel story.

RipWitch
