- Lumbearjack (June 11, 2022)

Oh wow I was not expecting this to have released! The fact that you play as a bear wielding an axe was enough to get me interested.
- Mail Time (Q4 2022)
It’s Mail Time! As a newly trained Mail Scout, put on your pack, grab those letters, and deliver them across Grumblewood Grove! The forest animals eagerly await the sight of your mushroom hat in this cozy, cottagecore light-platformer adventure!
This seems like it would be a relaxing game to play whenever you just want to deliver mail (without actually delivering mail irl).

This is a game where you collect cute bunnies. This seems like it would be similar to that one game where cats will show up in your backyard.
- Chicken Journey
Play as an adorable chicken in this relaxing platformer. Jump, climb and solve puzzles to find the answer to the ULTIMATE question chicken can ask.
Honestly do I have to say more than you play as a chicken here? And everyone you talk to are chickens?
An Action-RPG that’s (not-so) secretly a Personality Test. Use Physics-based telekinesis to make your mark on a strange world of Spirits. You will not be told when you are making decisions. You will never be judged in terms of Good or Evil. You will simply face the consequences of your actions.
This one looks so good! Though the personality test aspect is making me nervous on what I’ll end up scoring as haha.
- Paper Animal RPG
Paper Animal RPG is a cute roguelike game where you can explore a colorful world, fight scary enemies and relax with your friends at the campfire!
Considering that I loved Bug Fables, and I’ve been playing Paper Mario: The Origami King lately, I’m definitely looking forward to another “Paper” game.

- Paper Trail (2023)
Paper Trail is a top-down puzzle adventure about leaving home, set in a foldable, paper world.

- Passpartout 2
In this struggling artist adventure you draw and sell art to cheeky critics in order to reclaim your lost art career. Explore the endearing town of Phénix, unlocking new studios and tools along the way.

Blend tea and friendship in the flavorful world of Pekoe, a cozy cat-filled tea-making simulator about taking the time for self-care and connecting with what makes you happy. Build relationships, upgrade your teahouse, and discover new recipes as you work towards creating a place you can call home.

Lift a curse and revitalize a ruined island in Snacko, where former big city kitties Momo and Mikan are starting a new life! Grow crops, raise fluffy cows, go fishing, exploring, customize and decorate as you please, and much, much more in this farming cat-venture.
Yah I’ll revitalize this island and happily play as a cute kitty. This is another farming life sim, but I’m interested nonetheless.
- Petit Island
Welcome to the beautiful and tropical Petit Island! Relive your grandpaw’s youthful adventures by exploring the island and capturing beautiful photos in this heartwarming open-world photo exploration game. Preserve his memories before they fade away!
Okay I want to play as a cat and take photos lol. Can you blame me.

A wholesome, non-linear adventure game, where a lost soul and his dog set out on an otherworldly trek through the afterlife. Pass into the world beyond, commit acts of kindness for other souls, and mend mistakes from a forgotten past life. All with a very good boy by your side!
I say this a lot but so cute! And it’ll be interesting to see what you encounter and how the story will build up.
- Harmony’s Odyssey
Harmony’s Odyssey is a 3D fantasy adventure puzzle game set on mythical dioramas full of riddles, perky creatures and magic. Embark on a fantastic journey through remote fabled lands tangled by a rowdy cat and bring peace to its inhabitants.

- Super Mini Mart
Super Mini Mart is a cozy take on the management genre with a charming 3D aesthetic and an endearing cast of characters. Stock, supervise, and manage store activities in a laid-back environment, befriending locals and turning those one-off bargain hunters into life-long loyal customers!
As long as I don’t have to deal with annoying customers, I’m all in for this cute management game.
Townseek is a relaxing exploration-trading game where you fly around the world! Travel far and wide, discover exotic landmarks, trade with towns, fish, mine and farm, as you complete your journal and discover the lost legacy of Sir Reginald Sharkingston!

An adventure where you’ll meet the many good and not-so-good folks of Limbo. Use your wits and keen eye to gather clues from the residents and find items that will help uncover the mystery of Limbo and its curse that traps souls into repeating the same day on loop.
This looks pretty interesting and I’m surprised I didn’t hear about this game until now.

An alien world sometimes needs a farmer’s touch to bring it to life. In this sci-fi, colonization-life sim, terraform a barren world: turn blasted wastelands into a verdant landscape while exploring, farming, building, and unlocking all the mysteries of this strange new world.
Man there sure are a good handful of life farming sims that I’m interested in haha. Though, this one is set on an alien world. Also is it weird that I like the cooking mechanic and how crops are grown?
- Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire
An action-farming-roguelite, full of whimsical flora and mischievous creatures that really want to ruin your dark and mysterious plans of… Going vegan! (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ) 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖆𝖎𝖓𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖍𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖙.

- Critter Crops

- The Fridge is Red
Spiral down the psychological horror episodes. Experience the unsettling liminal spaces and surreal events inspired by analogue horror of the PSX era. What is inside the Red Fridge? Try to find out in the new DEMO.
This looks so creepy and interesting so far! I’m calling it, the fridge is bathed in blood. Or it’s just red paint and your character is just being too paranoid.
- Cassette Beasts
Collect awesome monsters to use during turn-based battles in this open-world RPG. Combine any two monster forms using Cassette Beasts’ Fusion System to create unique and powerful new ones!
I randomly came across this game one day and I am all for another Pokemon game. Especially this one where you can combine two cassette Beasts. Can’t wait until this releases!
- Rytmos (Q4 2022)
A relaxing puzzle game where you create music by solving mazes.
Other than having difficulty deciphering what the title was, this looks like it would be an interesting puzzle game. I’ll have to check out the demo
Greedventory is a gorgeous pixel-art narrative RPG experience, where the only thing between you and an embarrassingly swift death is your mouse. Strike, parry, and cast powerful spells on your enemies, loot ancient treasures, explore a brutal realm, and become the hero you never wanted to be!
Okay I mainly like this game because of how it looks and how the combat is handled (it really brings in the nostalgia vibes of games that implemented combat the same way. I’d probably see if there is a demo for it later on though.
In a silent world where music has been prohibited, B0B0 will serenade her rebellion against the vicious authorities by banding together with the Jukebot drummer, Rocket, to shatter the strings of fate and sing the melody of freedom in this unforgiving Rhythm Turn Based JRPG.
I have been looking forward to this game since it released and every time a trailer is shown I hope that we get a release date. Since I loved their previous game, Virgo Vs The Zodiac, I know I’ll love this one as well (though I still need to play the demo).

In this rogue-like inspired action adventure, you free the wizard school Greifenstein from magical creatures by using your spells creatively. Play in local co-op, customize your own student wizard, solve mysteries and find powerful artifacts in this modern magical world.

- Time on Frog Island (July 12, 2022)
Cast away on an island paradise complete with a cast of friendly frogs. Enjoy sandbox island life and explore at your own pace, solving sticky situations for your new friends and trading your way to fixing your ship!
This looked so cute when I first saw this and it still looks cute! I can’t believe this is releasing soon and I can’t wait to play it.
- Flat Eye
Flat Eye is a resource management sim with an emphasis on story and narrative choices. Oversee the world’s leading technological hub while you explore stories linked to discoverable technology and interact with your most loyal customers. Flat Eye – We’re watching.

Honestly, this looks like something I would like and it does look cute with it’s little buildings.
- Necrosmith (2022)
A necromancer simulator where you need to assemble the dead using different body parts while upgrading your tower. Combine the abilities of the different fantastic races to fight your way through the hordes of enemies and overrun the ’chosen ones’.
I’ll want to play the demo for sure, but this looked like it would be an interesting play (as it is an interesting concept).
- Falling Out (2022)
FALLING OUT is a light-hearted roguelite platformer where you take control of an oddball couple who are on a holiday from hell. Work together as you navigate randomly generated temples all whilst dodging traps, slaying enemies and crafting weapons in an attempt to escape before the temple floods.
This looks like it would be really fun to play, especially if you have someone to play co-op with.

Future Games Show
- Luto (2022)
Luto is a first person psychological horror narrative experience where you will embody a person unable to exit his own house. Finding the way to leave it will lead you through a series of paths that will challenge your senses.
So creepy I love it. I hope more gets shown as the release comes closer though.

This rain will never end unless you discover who killed the mayor of the city!
The art style is interesting and I love murder mysteries.

Go on a feel-good adventure with a brother and sister as they explore dreamscapes and befriend magical creatures. Lost in their imagination, Toto and Gal must stick together and solve puzzles to journey back home. This whimsical puzzle adventure game will make you feel like you’re playing a cartoon!

Sunday Gold is a point-and-click, turn-based adventure game set in grim, dystopian future. Play as a ragtag trio of criminals to hunt down and expose the dark secrets of an evil mega-corporation and the malevolent billionaire behind it.
This looks interesting and the stylized art style is so good. Can’t wait until we get a release date.
- Thymesia (August 9, 2022)
Thymesia is a gruelling action-RPG with fast-paced combat and an intricate plague weapon system. In a kingdom where death spreads, play as a mysterious character known by the code name “Corvus”. Prey upon your enemies, wield the power of disease and find the truth in your own memories.
I remember seeing this a while ago and I might have just been like “yah wishlist” just on the name. Well good thing is, that the gameplay looks pretty solid so far. Sometimes my power works out.
- Killer Frequency (2022)
Killer Frequency is a first-person horror adventure that puts you in the shoes of Forrest Nash, a late-night radio host whose callers are being stalked by a mysterious killer. Solve puzzles, save lives and run the switchboards, all while listening to a jukebox of retro ‘80s tunes!
Looks great and interesting premise!

MultiVersus is a platform fighter that lets you team up with or against your friends using some of the world’s most iconic characters including Batman, Shaggy, Superman, Bugs Bunny & more. Use unique co-op abilities, find your favorite fighter combos and save the Multiverse!
I’m not a big fan of fighting games, but when I caught a livestream of this game it looked really fun (and man Jakes lines toward Taz are hilarious, even more so when he had to most lines towards a character). I’m so sad I missed the first playtest, but I heard there will be one in July.
- Shadows of Doubt
First-person detective stealth game set in a fully-simulated sci-fi noir city. There’s a serial killer on the loose, and it’s up to you to catch them by any means necessary: Sneak, tail, hide, hack and lock-pick. Just keep a low profile!
Don’t worry, I’ll solve who the serial killer is. Even if it ends up with me dead.
Instinction is a prehistoric action-adventure game, with combat and exploration in multiple awe inspiring natural locations. Take on treacherous beasts and embark on an unforgettable journey.
This lowkey reminds me of a webtoom called Survival Log and maybe that’s why I’m interested in it lol.
Take on the role of Felix, a young man who, along with his fellow citizens, faces the imminent threat of falling under the control of the city’s authoritarian Leader once and for all. Accidentally becoming the only person who recognizes the threat, Felix must try to stop the menace.
Oooooh this one looks really interesting and it does look like the art style ties in with the story.
Future of Play Direct
- Infinite Guitars
Fight mechs with metal-crushing rock in Infinite Guitars, a genre-melting Rhythm RPG featuring vibrant anime-inspired art and a blazing original soundtrack. Battle against war machines with electrifying Guitar Solos, and save the planet!
I’m pretty 50/50 on this one. On one had I’m kinda eehhh on it, but the other I like the rhythm combat aspect of it.
- Cook Serve Forever
Chop, stir, and sauté your way through this massive new adventure from the makers of the million selling “Cook, Serve, Delicious!” series!
Come on, I have to pick up the upcoming Cook Serve Delicious game. Plus it’s a cooking game (though way more stressful).
A relaxing puzzle game about fixing train connections from the makers of Golf Peaks and inbento!
Honestly digging this relaxing puzzle game. And with the same developers of Golf Peaks and inBento! Though I’m 100% sure it’s going to get so hard in the later half of the game.
- Resident Evil Village Updates, Shadow of Rose DLC, and Re:Verse (October 28, 2022)
So it looks like the DLC we’ll be getting will revolve around Rose Winters, Ethan and Mia’s daughter. And it will be in third person. This is set 16 years after Village’s ending (and man way later than what I would expect as even I subscribed to the theory that she was growing faster like Eveline did). Also oh man The Duke is here. This looks pretty interesting and I hope we’ll get some more DLC later on too.
Mercenaries is also set to get an update where you can play as Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Alcina Dimitrescu; which I might actually play it once that releases. Just to play as Heisenberg and Dimitrescu.
We will also be getting a third person mode for the main game so yah I think I’ll replay it in third person too (and it would be good to replay it once the DLC comes out).
We also got a release date for Re:Verse, which was originally supposed to release alongside Village but got delayed twice. I’m a bit concerned that a trailer didn’t play (I’m guessing since we already know what it’s going to be anyway), but since it came free with my purchase of Village I’ll at least check it out.
And all of this seems to be coming just in time for Halloween on October 28.
