Summer Game Fest Kickoff Recap
Looks like we got some news on Elden Ring
To kick off E3, the Summer Game Fest had a Kickoff stream where they showcased a bunch of upcoming games! The stream is pretty long, but here are all the games announced:
- Among Us
The game where you’re either a crewmate (desperately completing tasks and trying to sniff out those that aren’t part of the crew) or an imposter (killing and sabotaging the crewmates) is getting future updates including adding 15 player support, new colors, graphics updates, a new map, and new ways to play (including the fan favorite Hide ‘n’ Seek). - Back 4 Blood
This co-op zombie shooter where you and friends try to eradicate the Ridden (aka the zombies) and reclaim the world is getting a Beta in August, so sign up now if you want to participate! - Bloodhunt
Vampire: The Masquerade is getting a free battle royale coming this year, with closed alpha accepting sign ups. - Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Warzone Season 4
Season 4 will be starting on June 17 that will have new weapons, maps, operators, and expanded zombies content. World Series will also be starting on June 22 to 23 and have been partnered with Twitch with popular streamers being captains. - Chicory: A Colourful Tale
Out now on Steam and PS4, this is a wonderful game where you take up the role of wielding a magical paintbrush after the world has lost its color. It’s up to you to bring the color back by both using your artistic skills on the environment (which will also help you help characters you come across and solve puzzles) and finding out what caused the previous wielder to disappear. - Chivalry 2
Available now on EGS, Playstation, and XBox, this is a multiplayer slasher inspired by epic medieval movie battles. - Dark Picture: House of Ashes
The next game in the Dark Picture anthology will feature American and Iraqi soldiers investigating an underground storage facility where they suspect chemical weapons are being hidden. Only… they discover much worse. This is coming to PC, Playstation, and Switch this year. - Death Stranding Director’s Cut
Looks like Death Stranding is getting a Director’s Cut that will be a PS5 exclusive. This will include new content that was inspired by his Metal Gear Solid works as well as enhanced graphics, lighting effects, support for faster frame rates, and possibly add support for the DualSense controller. This doesn’t have a release date yet, but hopefully those of us that already own Death Stranding will be able to get this upgrade for free or at least give us an option to just buy the new content being added (as I’m assuming the graphical and frame rate upgrade would be free) as DLC so we don’t have to buy another edition of the game if we don’t have to.
Also looks like another sign I should get back to Death Stranding haha. - D&D: Dark Alliance
An explosive action brawler filled with real time combat and dynamic co-op where you and up to 3 friends can battle legendary monsters, earn powerful gear, and unlock new abilities. This is coming soon on June 22. - Endless Dungeon
A roguelite tactical action game where you recruit a team of shipwrecked heroes plunged into a long abandoned space station and protect your crystal against endless waves of monsters (I see what you did there). This will release on Steam and consoles. - Elden Ring
Those that have been asking for news on this game has gotten their wish! It looks so cool from the trailer that was showcased, and even makes me tempted to pick it up when it comes out next year on January 21 on PC, Playstation, and XBox. - Escape from Tarkov
This multiplayer shooter game is getting a new map called Streets of Tarkov. - Evil Dead: The Game
We got more word on the Evil Dead game that will be coming to PC and consoles which will be a co-op and PVP multiplayer game where you play as a group of 4 survivors exploring, looting, managing their fear, and finding key items to seal the breach between world. Or you can play as the monster that tracks down the other players and kill them. - Fall Guys X Nier Automata
Nier Automata skins will be coming to Fall Guys on June 18. - Genshin Impact
A new character called Kaesehara Kazuha has been added in. - Jurassic World Evolution 2
Coming later this year, this is an upcoming dinosaur park management game coming to Steam, EGS, Playstation, and XBox that will contain an original story set after Fallen Kingdom and will give you deeper management tools and creative options. - Lost Ark
Coming to the West on December 31, you’ll be able to embark on an odyssey for the Lost Ark in a vast and vibrant MMORPG world with seven varied continents. - Metal Slug Tactics

A sci-fi puzzle adventure that follows a young girl and her friend as they emabark on a mission in a watercolor world. This is set to release next year on PC and XBox. - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Available now only on PS5, you’ll return to Ratchet and Clank as Doctor Nefarious attacks during a parade in their honor and causes the Dimensionator to be destroyed, causing rifts to begin opening randomly. - Sable

Coming to XBox and PC, this is a co-op shooter set on massive starship where you fight against alien hordes. - Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
So looks like we’re getting a Borderlands spin off with Tiny Tina. I haven’t played Borderlands, so I’m guessing she’s a popular well liked character, but this will take place between Borderlands 2 and 3 that will have fantasy elements inspired by Assault on Dragon Keep. Tiny Tina will act as your Bunkermaster, where she’ll change the narrative on the dime, and will take you on an adventure to take down the Dragon Lord. This will release next year on Xbox, Playstation, and PC. - Tribes of Midgard
Coming out on July 27 on Steam and Playstation, you’ll have to form your tribe up to 10 and become Viking legends as you battle mythical creatures, deadly spirits, and gigantic brutes that threaten to bring on Ragnarok. - Tunic
An action adventure where you play as a tiny fox exploring a big world, discovering spooky ruins, and fighting terrible creatures. This will release on Steam. - Two Point Campus
It’s time to build the university of your dreams where you’ll build, hire staff, and run a university packed with wild courses. And those that loved Two Point Hospital will love this one. This is coming next year on Steam, Playstation, and XBox. - Valorant
